The Indian Space Research Organisation will launch Franceโ€™s Spot 7 high-resolution optical imaging satellite on June 30, the agency announced.

Built by Europeโ€™s Airbus Defence and Space Group, the 714-kilogram Spot 7 is the primary payload among five passengers on the fully commercial flight of ISROโ€™s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, ISRO said June 20.

The liftoff is scheduled for 9:49 a.m. local time from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota off the coast of southern India.

The other satellites on the launch are a 14-kilogram satellite for a German amateur radio group, a pair of 15-kilogram Canadian satellites, and a 7-kilogram satellite for Singapore. The satellites are being launched under contracts with Antrix Corp., ISROโ€™s commercial arm, the agency said.

ISRO said all the five satellites have been integrated with the rocket and a final mission readiness review is slated for June 27.
