Over the years I have agreed with very nearly everything Rick Tumlinson has written. We share a vision of space colonization driven by private enterprise that, I believe, will be the most important and enduring legacy ever. That is why I’m saddened to see a string of pointless, unimaginative insults and contentless negative drivel coming from Rick in the Nov. 21 issue [“Do We Go to Play? Or Do We Go To Stay?” page 19]
I guess this sort of trash talk helps pundits get air time, but I’m disappointed that Space News doesn’t exercise a little editorial control. For the most part, I agree with the content in Rick’s article (found primarily on the second page), but please save the garbage-mouth for bombastic talk radio.
