As a part of the Space Foundation family, I’m very excited to share with you the launch of Space Foundation’s Center for Innovation and Education.
 
Space has never been more important. It unites and inspires people around the globe, and the Center for Innovation and Education is committed to helping everyone find their place in the space economy. As unemployment continues to rise and educational institutions remain closed, this mission is even more critical.
 
The Center for Innovation and Education addresses the innovation and workforce gap that the space economy is faced with by creating and delivering inclusive, innovative, and sustainable workforce development and economic opportunity programs to supply the rapidly growing global space economy.
The Center follows five core disciplines designed to combat the obstacles to building a qualified space workforce:
  1. Awareness of space’s impact and economic opportunity;
  2. Access to jobs, careers and business ventures for all people;
  3. Training for lifelong learning of sustainable skills;
  4. Connections to a vast space network of people, businesses and resources; and,
  5. Mentorship of young leaders to be next-generation role models.

We are so excited to be moving forward with you, providing resources, connections, and programs that unite us all, and allow everyone to find their place in space.
