Concord, Calif.-based Cobham Antenna Systems said March 2 it has been selected by Inmarsat to develop, manufacture, test and distribute Global Xpress maritime satellite terminals in a deal valued at $40 million over the next five years.
As Inmarsat’s initial launch partner, Cobham will ensure the availability of Global Xpress maritime satellite terminals when the global broadband service begins operations in 2013.
