Satellite ground systems manufacturer Integral Systems is opening an office in Britain as part of a broader strategy of steering current and prospective customers toward using Integralโ€™s full suite of satellite control, network management, carrier monitoring and interference-location technologies.

A package of services and products called Earth Stations Integrated Solutions (ESIS) has been assembled in an attempt to attract satellite operators to a one-stop-shop relationship with Columbia, Md.-based Integral, which recently changed its management following what some shareholders viewed as financial underperformance.

H. Marshal Ward, a former BAE Systems vice president and a retired U.S. Air Force major general hired in late August as Integralโ€™s chief operating officer, said Integralโ€™s new management team will attempt to bring โ€œbetter alignment between the many capabilitiesโ€ under Integralโ€™s roof. โ€œWe have all the raw materials and talent already,โ€ Ward said in a Nov. 2 interview.

ESIS is one way to offer Integralโ€™s EPOCH IPS satellite control products together with products and services from Integral subsidiaries RT Logic, SAT Corp. and Newpoint Technologies as a single package.
