The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has issued a worldwide call for experiments to be conducted aboard the international space stationโs Japanese Experiment Module, Kibo, in 2014 or later. JAXA is soliciting proposals that โmake full use of the Kiboโs unique environment that will have major impacts on science, technology, industry and society.โ
NASA said in a May 2 statement that it is encouraging U.S. investigators to participate on international research teams, but cannot guarantee funding. Proposals are due by June 29.
