Engineering support contractor SGT, Inc., of Greenbelt, Md., said June 1 that it has won a NASA contract worth up to $400 million over five years to help the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center, also in Greenbelt, develop new technologies for Earth and space science missions.
The Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services Contract is an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery contract that began June 1 and runs through May 31, 2017. SGT’s work on the contract will be performed under Goddard’s Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate.
SGT’s team includes Honeybee Robotics Spacecraft Mechanism Corp. of New York. In a separate press release issued June 5, Honeybee said it will “render technology services for developing advanced robotic systems that support new NASA missions and applications, including in-space servicing missions and the Joint Polar Satellite System” that Goddard is building for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
