Mobile satellite services operator Thuraya Telecommunications said it has signed a service partner agreement with GSM cellular operator Africell Holding to strengthen Thuraya’s distribution network in Africa.
Under the agreement that Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-based Thuraya announced Jan. 23, Africell — a subsidiary of Beirut-based Lintell Holding — will provide Thuraya voice and data services to GSM customers in Gambia, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
