China aims to intensify its exchanges and cooperation with other nations in aerospace engineering “on the basis of mutual benefit, peaceful use and common development,” Wu Ping, a spokeswoman for China’s manned space program, said Sept. 28.
Wu cited China’s collaboration with countries such as Russia and Germany since it launched its manned space program in 1992, and said, “We will further seek exchanges and cooperation with other countries to jointly promote the development of manned space flight technologies.”
The state-run Xinhua news service reported on her remarks at northwest China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center the day before the scheduled launch of Tiangong-1, China’s first space lab module, which Xinhua said will carry 300 flags from the International Astronautical Federation.
