During a recent visit to Houston, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden was asked how the agencyโs new Space Launch System and Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle will differ from the canceled Constellation program, and his answer was not reassuring to Houston Chronicle SciGuy blogger Eric Berger.
โWhatโs going to be different?โ Bolden said. โItโs going be disciplined, itโs going to be the way we do business and things like using students to help us develop modules, which we did not do before โฆ really integrating students and academia into this.โ
Writes Berger: โThe first part of the answer seems to be a slap in the face of the Constellation work force, and the second part might be a bit scary for future astronauts.โ
